Auli Ropeway

Once in Auli, one thing to try for sure is the cable car which is a 4 km ride from Joshimath to Auli. The ropeway traveling to and fro offers ravishing views of the Himalayas and take you on a topsy-turvy ride from the height of 1906 m to 3016 m.

Auli Artificial Lake

Eminent as one of the highest man-made lakes, this radiant untouched lake is settled at some distance from Auli, is developed by the government with the purpose to prolong the skiing season by creating more artificial snow.

Joshimath

Connected with highest overhead cable car of Asia, Joshimath is one of the Maths carved by the revered Adi Shankaracharya. Located some 10 km away from Auli, Joshimath is set at an elevation of 1890 m and the abode of the Badrinath.

Gurso/Gorson Bugyal

With a blend of oak and conifer forest, Gurso Bugyal is a 3 km trek from Auli, offering the view of the sightly Dron Parvat, Trishul, Nanda Devi. Set at an elevation of 3056 m, this destination is a must visit in winters and spring season full of lush green beauty.

Kwani Bugyal

Kwani Bugyal is renowned as a meadow offering the scintillating view of mountain peaks like Dunagiri and Nanda Dev. Situated 13 km away from Auli and at an elevation of 3380 m, it's one of the easy hiking experiences that comes with the charming view of the surroundings.

Chattrakund

Adding more charm and aura with its crystal clear water to Auli, is the Chattrakund lake. It is located at an altitude of 3350 m and is just 4 km from your skiing destination, Auli.

How To Reach

By Air

Located at a distance of 279 km away, Jolly Grant airport is the nearest one to Auli, which is easily accessible by cabs.

By Rail

Rishikesh which is 262 km away from Auli is the nearest railway station to reach the destination. The distance thereafter can be covered by a cab.

By Road

Auli is well connected to all other major destinations of Uttarakhand by road. One can find state-run buses from Haridwar/Rishikesh that operate till Joshimath, from where, one can either drive in a cab or take a ropeway to Auli. Taxis from Haridwar and Dehradun are also available and can directly connect you to Auli.

We were at Auli on 4th Jan, that was a wonderful experience... The snow was thin but was still worth visiting and the view from there was simply awesome
